Debuted a new song from The Anti-Socialite called “Dressed Smart” and rocked out to “Don’t Stop” from the Off The Wall project. Check out the videos below:
Shouts to everyone involved with the show: Dominique, Mic Sean, Juan, Angela Yee, DJ Absolut and Peter Rosenberg. And HUGE shouts to all the other artists on the bill. It was a hell of a show and I was glad to be a part of it.

As the only artist with a hype man, Esso brought a new definition to what it means to be hype. He was honestly his own show. The people in the audience could have not been there and he would have done the same exact act. He came out to the “Uptown” instrumental that was featured off of Drake’s So Far Gone mixtape, but I have to say Esso’s rendition of the song was truly impressive. Among the other titles he performed were “London Bloke” and “Young and Ignorant.” Words cannot express how nuts Esso’s hype man was nor could they describe the insurmountable amount of liveliness this kid had. Jumping off the stage numerous times into the crowd is only a sample of what Esso has to offer. He did a good job.

Dear Ladies,
Today, men all around the world will try to make up for in one day what they could have been doing for you all of this year, last year, and the year before it: trying to impress you. Now since I try and impress you every time I think about you or every time I see you, this obviously isn’t the case with me…but for their sake, we won’t be too hard on them. Valentine’s Day is a time when people can go and support the over-commercialized belief that we have to buy the people that we care about nice things instead of making them laugh or just doing something to make them feel special. So, since I’d rather make you feel special than try and buy your affection, here’s what I decided to do…hope you enjoy and it makes you smile

Y&I MUSIC RELEASE:
ESSO- THE ANTI-SOCIALITE
WORLDWIDE RELEASE APRIL 12th, 2010
NEW YORK- The latest piece of work from hip-hop artist ESSO is a confessional mixtape that expresses a day in the life of the up and coming rapper from Harlem, NY. Ushering in a new era of hip-hop, ESSO stamps a new sound that leaves behind the day of the 80’s baby and awakens the dawn of a new age that has learned more from the mistakes and triumphs of generations past.
THE ANTI-SOCIALITE catapults an educated listener into the world of a generation that carries the burden of proving oneself in a culture that has recently been “dumbed down” under the ever-critical eye of traditional media, social media, and the likes of what has gone viral over the Internet. This journey into a day in the life paints a story of the many circumstances that befall the young and ambitious- whether it be having a conversation with his past, his city, or simply living it up in a night at the club.
Calling out his ambitions, his success, and his continuous frustrations ESSO leads his listener through the typical events in the course of a day that affect this young and intelligent star on his way to the top. Completely aware of the expectations that rest squarely on his shoulders considering the collective impact of “2009’s Hip-Hop Freshman Class” ESSO steps forward to prove himself as a star in his own light in this first release of 2010.
