Def Jam Rapstar Trailer in Theaters!!!

I been gettin hit up about this a lot lately, you’ll be able to catch it at theaters all over the US right before Takers, The Other Guys, Dinner For Shmucks, Salt and Step Up 3D….thanks to Emmanuelle for making this happen. I had no idea where the commercial was going to be placed when we shot it, and now it’s playing in movie theaters around the country! Big shouts to Donnis, Pill & Just Blaze who are also in the commercial as well.

And in case you missed my solo spot for the game, here it is:

Just in case you were wondering…

I know I’ve been a little bit quiet since the release of The Anti-Socialite but don’t worry I’ve been back in the studio over the last 2 months working on a lot of new music that you’ll start hearing pretty soon. Me and Rena1ssance been cooking up some incredible records so far, and I’m getting ready to head out to LA and work with Woody in September. If you follow me on Twitter then you know I’ve been talking about something called #DemolitionMan which was just a side project that I did for fun…but the more I listen to it the more I think we may put out some form of it so that you can hear it.

Also in the not so distant future, expect to see more posts on here about the rest of the Y&I collective: Tory 2.0, Rena1ssance, Chase Kennedy & Puma. It’s not all music with us, and I want to start to show you what the rest of the family is about. BEAR WITNESS TO THE Y&I TAKEOVER!!!

ESSO x 2dbz Empire State Edition Mixtape

2dopeboyz has been one of the biggest supporters of my music since my very early days of building my name on the internet, so it’s only right that I show love back and plug their upcoming “Empire State Edition” I’ve known about this mixtape for MONTHS so I’m glad to see that it’s finally getting ready to drop, and especially being that I have 2 tracks on there. Big shouts as always to Shake and Meka who I’ll be seeing on Saturday at the (2)DopeBBQ. If any of y’all are out there make sure you come say whatup.  And shouts to “The Glow” still not having leaked after ALL this time. We must have recorded that in early 09. That’s what you call protecting an Exclusive…

Then on Monday/Tuesday we’ll hit the internets with a download link (fully equipped with bonus tracks from Sean Price, Emilio Rojas, Sha Stimuli, Nero, ESSO, Bekay, P.So, Punchline, Wordsworth and more). But right now, I wanted to hit y’all with the final leak. Skyzoo, Torae & CurT@!n$ got together over some crazy Illmind production for a special (2)dope exclusive. Thanks for all the patience and enjoy!

[NEW MUSIC] AA & Constructive Criticism [CDQ]

Went in the studio a couple months ago with my dude Mighty Fuzz Young and Excel (WeaponX Promo) to lay down a couple tracks for Fuzz’s upcoming Street Album “For My Generals Part 2″ hosted by Superstar Jay. We ended up finishing 2 songs which both made it on the final project “Astronauts Anonymous” and “Constructive Criticism.”

Any of y’all that know me know that Astronauts Anonymous is something that I’ve been talking about for a while and is kinda like my own sarcastic version of Alcoholics Anonymous. Constructive Criticism is a song that I wrote kinda battling within myself. I’m my own harshest critic, so when I wrote the song I really wanted to express some of the things that I even criticize myself for in my music.

Hopefully you enjoy the songs, and Fuzz’s album when it comes out. Big shouts to Excel & Fuzz for makin it happen, and to Superstar Jay for supporting.
