When I was approached about doing this song, I was definitely excited by the opportunity, and then something kinda odd happened. I went to LA to work with my Producer Woody who recently moved back to Cali, and ended up staying in a newly renovated loft building in Downtown Los Angeles very much like The Dante. I started to feel like I was already in the show, being that I was staying in a building that was kinda odd itself and so I wrote the song as if I was just another resident in The Dante. As I watched the episodes and got into the storyline, it made it easier and easier to imagine myself as a part of the show. I thought to myself “I really want to be a part of this” and I’m glad that the song has been as well received as it has so far. New Years Eve isn’t that far away…let’s see if they decide to invite me to New Years Eve at The Dante…

My dude Moe Roc hit me up when I got back from LA with the idea to redo The Clipse’s “I’m Good” record produced by Pharrell and that he wanted it to be a real Harlem version of the song. He also reached out to B/A from the Demevolist crew to get on it, and we all knocked it out. Shouts to Moe for makin it happen and to Harlem for the inspiration…
